Repair on location
A common repair, such as a flat tyre, a chain or a brake cable, is usually done in one visit. A service takes longer. You’ll hear in advance roughly how long it will take.
Then we’ll tell you honestly, preferably before we come. Some repairs need a workshop. In that case we’ll tell you where you can go instead.
Yes. If you have several bikes at home with a problem, put them all in your message. Then we plan enough time and repair them in one visit.
Yes. BikeBreda simply keeps working in the rain, preferably under a shelter or in a shed or garage if possible.
BikeBreda brings the most-used parts: inner tubes and tyres, chains, brake and gear cables and brake pads. If a part is needed that we don’t have with us, you’ll hear that in advance and we’ll agree together how to solve it.
Prices and flat tyres
No. For a flat tyre BikeBreda always replaces the inner tube, for €40. That’s faster than patching, so your bike is ready sooner and you’re riding on a new inner tube again.
A flat rear tyre on an e-bike costs €40 at BikeBreda, the same as a front tyre or a tyre on a regular bike. If the tyre needs replacing too, it costs €60.
First send a photo or video on WhatsApp; often we can already see what it is and what it costs.
E-bikes
No. BikeBreda doesn’t have the equipment to read out an e-bike’s software. We do handle tyres, brakes, chain and gears. For a software fault we’ll refer you to a brand dealer.
For regular repairs such as tyres, brakes and chain, the brand makes little difference. For electrical parts such as a display, motor or battery it differs per brand; you’ll always hear that price in advance.
Warranty and peace of mind
BikeBreda’s warranty covers everything we repaired for 2 months, and everything we may have touched during the repair. If something goes wrong with it in that time, we fix it free of charge.
A new flat tyre is almost always caused by something new, such as glass, a drawing pin or a sharp stone. That has nothing to do with the repair. If it did go wrong because of our repair, for example a wrong inner tube, we’ll of course fix it for free.
